Currently the Risk Manager for the City of Chesapeake for the past four and a half years and he had a long career with the City of Norfolk as a Safety Officer/Workers’ Compensation Manager and later as the Risk Manager for the City of Norfolk School Board. In between the Cities of Chesapeake and Norfolk, Dan had a 2 year stint as an Education Practice Leader with Midwest Employers working with school districts and universities. Dan is a past PRIMA President and he currently serves on the PERI board. He is a past President of the VA PRIMA chapter, currently serving as a chapter board member. Dan is also a member of the Greater Tidewater Chapter of the ASSP and a past president. Dan has a BA in history from VA Tech and both a MS and a MBA from Old Dominion University.
