Sharon Harris joined CIS (CityCounty Insurance Services) as a Senior Human Resource Consultant in 2014 focusing on employment trainings and general human resources consulting for CIS Pool members. Before joining CIS, Sharon was with the City of Redmond, Oregon for 14 years holding positions of human resources/risk management director, assistant city manager/HR director and interim city manager. Her previous role with the city included risk management responsibilities and she is very active on OR-PRIMA having served in various board positions and served on the PRIMA Leadership Development Committee from 2018 – 2021. She also has an expansive professional human resources background, including private sector work with AIG Claims Services and Benova, a third-party benefits administrator. Sharon holds Senior Certified Professional designations through both the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-SCP) and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP). She has a BS degree from Oregon State University, a professional human resources certificate from Portland State University, and has completed academies conducted by the National Public Employers Labor Relations Association (NPELRA).Session List
