Daniel (Dan) Youngs serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority (LCSWMA) and President of Sustainable Assurance Company. Prior to joining LCSWMA, Dan served in various financial and operational leadership roles within the mechanical, manufacturing, and agriculture industries. Specifically, Dan has focused on equity growth, liquidity enhancement and value creation, often through the development and execution of turnaround and restructuring strategies. Business management and operational experience includes start-up ventures, service and product development, fleet and logistics, procurement, comprehensive contract negotiations and risk management. At LCSWMA, Dan directly oversees the finance, information technology, human resources, and risk management segments.
Dan holds a B.S. in Accounting with a second major in Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College. Further, Dan holds an MBA from Lebanon Valley College. Dan is active within his community, serving in various Boards and Committees of regional organizations including the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association, the City of Lancaster Alliance, and the Penn State Agriculture Extension. Outside of the office, Dan is happily married to his wife Crystal and has two children, Charlotte and Owen. Dan enjoys restoring antique automobiles and fishing.
