Bio

Jeff Rush has worked in the insurance industry for nearly 30 years. He began working on behalf of public agencies in 1995 and has worked for a number of public agencies since 2004. His prior experience includes working as a workers’ compensation claims examiner, supervisor, manager, excess specialist and independent auditor. He has served for nearly a decade as the Workers’ Compensation Program Manager for the California JPIA, a municipal risk pool with 123 members throughout California.

Jeff graduated from California State University Sacramento with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He also holds multiple professional certifications, including as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwrite (CPCU), Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in Risk Management for Public Entities (ARM-P). He is the Vice President of the Public Agency Risk Management Association (PARMA) and a member of the Legislative Committee for the California Association of Joint Powers Authorities (CAJPA).
