Alana McMullin is a member of Lathrop GPM’s Insurance Recovery & Counseling group and has experience litigating high-profile civil rights cases as well as complex insurance disputes, a unique practice that enables her to give a blend of legal experience and real-world perspective to her clients. As an insurance attorney, Alana counsels clients on handling claims and risk, negotiates with carriers to obtain coverage for clients facing environmental, tort, and products liability claims, and litigates complex and long-tail insurance issues. As a litigator, Alana has participated as counsel at trial and in many mediations, and has led multifaceted discovery and motion practice frequently resulting in settlement. Additionally, Alana is a key member of Lathrop GPM’s Civil Rights Insurance Recovery team, which litigates § 1983 civil rights claims on behalf of wrongfully convicted exonerees, and has successfully secured millions in settlements for civil rights plaintiffs.
